About

The 78th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Co. F and Civil War Round Table was formed in 1999 to honor our ancestors who volunteered from 1861-1865 to save the Union during the War of the Rebellion, or the American Civil War.

The members of this organization seek to portray as authentically as possible, being always mindful of modern safety and health concerns, the lives and experiences of those whom we seek to honor.  This includes a detailed attention to clothing, arms and accouterments,  personal appearance, and mannerisms in order to portray an authentic nineteenth century lifestyle.

We seek to encourage one another to educate the public and foster interest in this period of American history.  To achieve these goals, the organization  participates in a variety of activities including memorial services, parades, living history programs, school presentations, and local and national battle reenactments. See our Schedule of Events page for details.

The 78th PVI, Co. F is a proud member of Company B, 3rd Regiment, United States Volunteers, commanded by our own Aaron Hooks, and supports battlefield preservation efforts.
